I had a blast in San Francisco. Although most of the time was spent in class, I did manage to get in some recreational activity. The trip renewed my desire to move there.
This trip was different, though. I actually was able to experience what it would be like to live there. Every morning, I had to get up, drive to breakfast, go to work (class) and then fight traffic to get back home. So, while I enjoyed being in the city, it wasn't until the weekend that I realized what I like so much about the city. I hooked up with an old friend on Friday. It was really nice to see him. On Saturday, my friend and I went to a club in Berkeley. This was the most fun I've had in years. Then on Sunday, we went to the Castro and watch a powerful documentary, We Were Here: Voices From the AIDS Years in San Francisco I'm still too shaken to write about what I experienced inside while watching this film. Anyone who believes Ronald Regan was a great president should watch this.
